Please meet Kibnesh and two
of her four children...
She is a widow with four
children. Their names are Shewangizaw Melkamu (20 years old, he dropped out
school in grade 8 because he had to go out to search food for the family),
Kelemwork Melkamu (17 years old and in grade 11), Aregawi Melkamu (15 years old
and in grade 9, he is in the picture) and Abel Wubshet (6 years old and in
kindergarten, he is in the picture too). Her husband passed away from
Tuberculosis. Mom has diabetes, high blood pressure and elephantiasis. They rent
a house for $20 each month. Their biggest needs are house rent, food and
educational materials. Their sponsorship is $40 per month.

He has been blind for 12 years. He has
two children, Simegn Gedamu (10 years
old and in grade 1) and Minalachew Gedamu (6 months old). His wife's name is
Serkalem Shumetu, she washes clothes for another family. He begs to help the
family financially. The house they rent is $20 per month. Their biggest needs
are house rent, food and school fees. It is $40 a month to sponsor his family.
