Families Needing Sponsorship

Each family is $50 a month to sponsor. This money provides food, rent and hygiene items.

She has four children named Abenezer Birrhanu (19 years old and in grade 10), Yeabtsega Birrhanu (16 years old and in grade 9), Samuel Mulugeta (11 years old and in grade 4) and Bereket Mulugeta (4 years old). Birrhanu passes away 11 years ago and she separated with Mulugeta 2 years ago. She has gynecological problems and has kidney stones. She tried to abort. She has had surgery a couple of times and she still has pain. She shares a room with another family. Needs are house rent, food and school supplies.

He lives with his wife, Teje, and has no children. He is crippled (has swelling around knee joint on his right leg and he mentioned his left arm don't move). He uses crutches. He can't work but his wife works as a daily laborer. House rented and pay $17. Needs are food and house rent.

 Aynalem Feleke...

She has two children named Meri (11 years old and in grade 5) and Yeabsira (a year and 8 months old and in the picture). Her husband left her after she gave birth of her second child. She has Asthma. She lives with another family. She doesn't work as she doesn't have anyone to look after her baby child. She sometimes get support from neighbor and relatives. Needs are house rent and food.

Simegn Aleh...

She has no children. She has an eye problem (she is almost completely blind). She mentioned she has a bad cold and thinks that it's from where she lives as it is a plastic house (lives with someone else and can't afford for house rent). She is a beggar. Need is food.

Etagegn Teka...

She has three children named Fasika (8 years old and in grade 3), Mequanint (16 years old and in grade 8) and Aynalem (18 years old and completed grade 10). She is HIV positive. Her husband left her when she was a pregnant of her third child. She washes clothes and make injera for other families. House rented and pay $17. Needs are house rent and food.

 

Tsehay Daba...

She has two boys named Biniyam (6 years old and in grade 1) and Yishak (2 years old). Her husband left her when she was a pregnant of her second boy. She is healthy. She washes clothes for other families. House rented and pay $17. Needs are food, house rent and educational materials.

 

 

Asnakech Tibebu...

She has a daughter named Dibora ( a year and 8 months old). Husband left her when she was a pregnant. She doesn't have any health issues. She lives with another family as she can't afford for house rent. She sometimes sell tea spices around but wants to work more if she had someone to look after her daughter.

 

 

 Adanech Yesigat...

She has three children named Basazinew (10 years old and in grade 1), Birtukan (6 years old) and Wudyalew (4 years old), they all are in the picture. Mom's left leg is crippled (abnormally thin). Dad died a year ago with a heart problem. She is a beggar. House rent is $25. Needs are house rent, food, clothes and educational materials.

 

 

Yesir Ashebir...

She has four children named Bitew (boy and 13 years old and in grade 8, in the picture), Rediet (girl, 5 years old and in Kindergarten, in the picture), Emawayish (11 years old and in grade 5) and Dinke (22 years old and stopped attending school at grade 7 as she was severely sick with heart attack). Mom has leprosy and dislocation of her foot. Dad died 3 years ago with TB. She is a beggar. House rented and pay $20. Her needs are food, house rent and educational materials.

 

 

Moges Gebre...

He has four children named Kalkidan (12 years old and grade 4 student), Yealemtsehay (9 years old and grade 3 student, in the picture and is HIV positive), Solomon (4 years old) and Agegnew (18 years old and stopped attending school when he was in grade 5 as dad couldn't afford to keep sending him to school after their mom died). Dad is HIV positive and has TB too (he is taking medicine). He has also a severe eye infection. Mom passed away 8 years ago with HIV. They rent house and pays $20. He collects and sells recycle materials from the thrush dump. His needs are house rent, food and educational materials.

 

 

Bizuayehu Zewdu...

Her husband left her when she was a pregnant. She has twin boys named Eyob and Dawit (a year and 9 months old). She mentioned she has gastritis, liver and back pain. She can't work because she doesn't have anyone to take of her children. Her mom used to get food from the dump but has stopped because of her age (getting very old) so two of her brothers sometimes support her, they work as a daily laborer. Her needs are food and a person to look after her children as she wants to work.

 

Boge Bullie...

She lives alone and doesn't have any children. She mentioned she had cataract and did surgery a couple time and feels better now. She has pain in her right feet (she doesn't know exactly the reason). She is a beggar. Her needs are food and clothes.
